On the small screen, Nichols was most recently seen as the female lead in Stephen Bochco's cop drama "Blind Justice" for ABC. Nichols received critical acclaim for her role as Eldard's hardened partner, "Karen Bettancourt." Nichols will soon begin production on "In Justice" for ABC in which she will portray a passionate lawyer who is fighting for the wrongly accused. The show also stars Kyle Maclachlan.
Nichols other television credits include her role as "Victoria Santiago" on Showtime's critically acclaimed series "Resurrection Boulevard" as well as numerous guest appearance on hit series including "Friends," "Alias," "Nip/Tuck," "CSI," "Law & Order SVU," "ER" and "Cold Case." She has appeared in three television movies including NBC's "Homeland Security," "The Princess and the Barrio Boy" for Showtime and "The Princess and the Marine" in which Nichols portrayed Princess Meriam Al-Kalifa, who fled her own country for love.
Nichols is currently in production on "Big Momma's House 2" opposite Martin Lawrence. The film will be released by 20th Century Fox in December 2005. Her film credits include portraying "Audrey Griswold" opposite Chevy Chase in "Vegas Vacation," "Bowfinger," Disney's "Mafia," "Can't Hardly Wait" and "Scream 2."
Nichols is a volunteer supervisor and spokesperson for Criminon. Criminon is an international, non-profit organization which addresses the cause of criminality and seeks to rehabilitate inmates.
Nichols, who is originally from the Chicago area, currently resides in Los Angeles.
