She was a student there from 1930 to 1943. After World War II, she became a celebrated entertainer in radio, stage and concert halls in Hungary. In 1956, she immigrated to the United States and continued to perform in New York where she had her own nightclub, making four albums while there.
In 1966 she moved to Los Angeles and had her first appearance on television on the Wood Woodbury Show, introduced by Zsa Zsa Gabor in 1969. Since then Elisa has been a character actress in many commercials, television and films. Most recently she was seen as James Coburn's housekeeper in "The Man from Elysian Fields (2001)" and Kevin Pollock's mother, Anya, in 'The Whole Ten Yards' (to be released November 2003).
