Yeniffer built upon her noteworthy inauguration into film by starring as the title character in the controversial independent film, "Angel Blue", as a naive but savvy teenager who is seduced by her father's best friend. Her co-stars were Sam Bottoms and Karen Black. Yeniffer garnered critical praise for her adept portrayal and was singled out by Variety, which said: "Pic definitely benefits from Behrens' poise and energy" Variety, 11/13/98. Angel Blue was picked up by the Lifetime Network and aired under the title, "My Neighbor's Daughter". Yeniffer also starred in the English language version of the critically acclaimed "Gabriela". She delivered strong supporting roles in a number of other films such as Frank Aragon's touching drama, "My Father's Love", Ric Roman Waugh's "Exit" and Fox Searchlight Film's, "Lili".
Yeniffer possesses the ability to fluently speak both English and Spanish, while skillfully recreating several distinct dialects. This is just one of the many qualities that enabled Yeniffer to land a number of juicy television roles in Anglo and Hispanic markets. Some of her credits include co-starring or guest starring roles in several network series such as, UPN's "Pointman", CBS' "JAG" and "The Agency". Yeniffer also earned a role as a series regular in the PBS mini-series, "A Question of Citizenship" and in the pilot for a gritty teen drama series, "Trials of Life", which was deemed too edgy for television. Some of her Spanish language roles include Sabado Gigante/Univision's "Familia Fernandez" and novellas such as Venevision's "El pais de las Mujeres", "Morelia" and "Te Amare en Silencio", which was the first novela filmed in Los Angeles.
After undertaking a globetrotting journey that took her to India, Spain, England, The Caribbean, South America and many points in-between, Yeniffer has picked up where she left off and Hollywood is standing up and taking notice of this gifted young actress. She can currently be seen in theaters appearing in the much talked about feature film, "A Day Without A Mexican". You can also spy the lovely Yeniffer in numerous national television and radio commercials for major advertisers such as McDonald's, Dodge/Chrysler, Nyquil, Leap Frog, 21st Century Insurance, Fannie May Foundation, Albertson's/Jewel's Markets, Cingular and Big Lot's Stores.
Yeniffer is currently appearing in Oscar winning actor, Billy Bob Thornton's latest showcase, "Not Just Another Showcase III" @ The Court Theatre in Los Angeles). You will also be seeing Yeniffer in a major guest-starring role in the cutting edge hit FX series "Nip/Tuck". She then begins filming the independent television series, "Alta California", where she takes on a starring role as a sexy and aggressive young attorney.
