Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg team up once again in the romantic comedy, the terminal. With an out-of-the-ordinary plot and characters interesting, this is a film you either love or hatred
Taking a vacation from his home nation, the Republic of Krakozhia, Viktor Navorski (Tom Hanks) the steps off plane in the terminal to JFK International in New York. Few know that he does, as the plane in flight, Krakozhia erupted into civil war - dissolution of the Republic and leaving Viktor without a homeland. Because the United States has not yet of how to deal with the new nation, Viktor is literally a man without a country, and he can not leave the terminal. He can not return to Krakozhia, nor can he EU feet in the ground outside the doors of the terminal.
Following the explanation of the terminal Snafu by the head of security Frank Dixon (Stanley Tucci), Viktor slowly comes to understand (the language barrier is the first major) the implications of the news reported him. Dixon& 39;s first inclination is to convince Viktor that he can make a run for it when the security detail changes shift (but Dixon plans to have Viktor arrested outside so that the man is not his problem). Viktor but not bite. Instead, he decide to stay at the terminal, and the result is a hilarious and sometimes inspiring cacophony of events that led Viktor to find its own way to survive.
Running food out of coupons, Viktor returns luggage carts and collect the deposits. He then uses the change for the purchase of Burger King cheeseburgers. But Dixon soon put a stop to the practice, saying that security can only meet the officials carts.
As Viktor Dixon continues to hamper the stay, the homeless man made many friends with airport staff, build their own housing, and acquires a job inside the airport working as a carpenter. Along the way, he strikes up a romance with regular airline stewardess Amelia Warren (Catherine zeta-Jones), and he watches events unfold in his beloved Krakozhia via CNN.
When Dixon is promoted to the top position at JFK, Viktor spoils their plans with some creative interpretation on behalf of a foreign passenger arrested with illegal drugs. Telling Dixon drugs are for man& 39;s goat, instead his father, he is able to grant the man crossing the very Dixon & 39; s dismay. In the end, Viktor reaches celebrity status among workers and regulate the terminal of the airport. When the Republic of Krakozhia is restored, they celebrate with him at the airport bar, and they help you the last time a leaf Dixon, to carry out its Viktor trip to New York, where he has a very special mission to achievement
A fascinating concept of " what is, " The Terminal may be a scenario implausible, but it is nevertheless an entertaining one. Tom Hanks does a great job of moving Viktor character of a man who barely speaks English to a man who is fully functional in a foreign airport terminal. Not to be confused with one of the greatest movies of all time, film buffs still could do much worse than spend a relaxing evening watching this.
